Lithuania’s Western Shipyard Expansion Highlights Maritime Industry Growth

On 26 October, Invest Lithuania reported that Western Shipyard Group was building a new floating dock in Klaipėda to service larger and more technically complex vessels. The development follows a US$43 million construction contract with Türkiye’s Hat-San Shipyard and is expected to increase annual ship-repair capacity by at least 10% when operational in autumn 2027. No separate advertising or public-relations budget was disclosed.
